Oakland’s CALAVERA Chef, Omar Huerta
Serving Up His Unique Version of Continentally-Inspired Wine-Pairable Cuisine!
Greetings Dear Foodie & Wine-centric Friends,
In a year filled with uncertainty, here’s something to believe in:
Tiburon Wine will be hosting its Last Pop-Up Dinner Event of 2021 on Saturday, October 16th @ 7:30 pm
Dinner will be held in our attractive wine shop, Tiburon Wine, conveniently located on tony Main Street, downtown bucolic Tiburon!
Come join us for an evening where we proudly feature once again, our talented pal, Chef Omar Huerta, cooking his version of a continentally-inspired California Cuisine themed feast guaranteed to check all your fondest fine- food-&-wine related boxes!
We have now worked with Chef Omar 11 times these past few years and each event gets better than the last! Omar was the original Chef at Mill Valley’s Playa for 3 years, and garnered for them a coveted Michelin Guide Bib-Gourmand award! For the past 2 years, Omar has been commanding the kitchen of Oakland’s bastion of upmarket, pristinely prepared & presented Mexican Cuisine, CALAVERA.
For us, on 10/16, Omar will forage his favorite purveyors sourcing the finest produce & protein Autumn in Marin has to offer, and once again fashion his singular personal style of cuisine that is uniquely Californian, yet reminiscent of classic French & Italian cooking. Omar is a very proud man, & continually tops himself over his previous efforts. We expect 10/16 to be a new high-water-mark, as Omar refuses to settle for less!

We can’t wait to see what Omar pulls out of his “arsenal”, for this go-around!
Once Again, for one night only, we’ll be the best darned restaurant in Marin! Our regular Pop-Up patrons, of which there are now legions, would advise you to not miss this event! Especially knowing we won’t repeat the exercise until Spring of 2022!
Space is limited to 38 lucky diners & we expect demand to be high for those 38 coveted seats.
To ensure proper socially distanced dining, for those keenly aware of such, we will utilize a combination of indoor & outdoor seating.
As an added bonus, we will be offering substantial discounts on our featured dinner wines, for our guests to take home for future use (offer valid this evening only).
The price is $175. per person complete, including 5-course menu, wine- pairings, tax and gratuity!
(Savvy diners know this is a fabulous bargain! Just ask any of our 100’s of “Repeat Offenders”!)

*Please specify when you pay us, your preference of indoor or outdoor seating & we will do our level best to accommodate your selection. (Please double & triple-check your calendars to be sure you are absolutely able to be in attendance 10/16/21 prior to my taking your CC info, as, once I have your money, I am not giving it back!)

***To diners with dietary restrictions: This menu will predictably include meated items, dairy, shellfish, and ingredients possibly containing gluten, tree-nuts, & other potentially toxic items.
Unfortunately, due to our venue constraints, hence our inability to accommodate such, we must respectfully decline any requested substitutions to the Menu.
We apologize for any inconvenience this limitation may create.
As ever, it is our absolute thrill to be able to present these dinner events for our friends’ & clients’ enjoyment.It constantly amazes us that we are the only ones in Marin to do these type of gatherings featuring Great Chefs, paired with Great Wines, in pleasant surroundings, in wonderful company!
This is what we do with our discretionary (& in-discretionary) income when we’re not retailing fine wine items, and we love to share the joy with like-minded folks!
Chef Omar, as ever, is fired-up to do this gig (he absolutely loves doing it whenever we are lucky enough to “corral” him!), & we are very much looking forward to yet another truly memorable evening of gastronomic bliss & good cheer with you!
